Welcome to the Great Lakes Database designed and built with the modeler in mind, where attention to detail is everything. Many Great Lake enthusiasts have contributed to this database and we thank you all. Brought to you by the Great Lakes Modeling Association and Great Lakes Nautical Society.

There is some much available to us as Great Lakes enthusiast and so many people working hard to preserve our maritime history. As modelers I feel we have a rather unique look to this, it's the details we see and we hope to captor that here.

• The Photo section you will find many Great Lakes Vessels captured in every detail. Even with all that's available online and Museum archives, it's always been a challenge finding what different area's of these vessels really looked like. We hope to change that with the contributions from many individuals, museums and government archives!!

• Plans and Drawings sections has a very important list of sources, where you can acquire plans from 1000's of Great Lakes Vessels. You may also view and download our collection of plans: Winches, Vessels, Clamps, Hulett Unloaders and more.

• Research section has a detailed list of sources for Great Lakes Maritime history. Museums no question are the best source for research material. More and more this information is become available online, you might be surprise how much you can find. Your best option is to contact some museums, there collections can be very extensive and rather fun to browse!! As well museums always need you support!!!
