Diesel Tug
This
is the Lindberg Diesel Tug HO 1/87 scale kit. I built this
little guy back in 94 while working in Minneapolis. While I
was out there I had to make a few runs up to Duluth. It was
there I took a few photo's of the Army Corp of Engineers
tug. I then picked up the kit at a local hobby shop, and
built her while away from home.
This
guy is full RC and fully lighted. The entire cabin structure
is scratch built to cut down on weight. The heavier plastic
that come with the kit makes the tug top heavy, and would
not be as stable.
She
ran of a servo motor which is really not as strong as I'd
like. I installing a 400 direct drive motor with 4.8 volts.
This little guy really has some power now. She has no
problem push my Fitzgerald completely sideways.
Launch date on November 10,2003
