Its hard to go
to any model boat club and not find something that was built
from A.J. Fisher plans or kits. I happen to have the honor of
sailing around a restored A.J. Fisher original. The

On a recent trip to Saugatuck we visited the
South Haven Museum. This
U.S.C.G. 110' Tug #92 was one of the models on display.
Built by David Davis. This tug still serves on the lakes as the
Jimmy L.

I've really come to like these tugs after
doing the photo shoot of the
Anchor Bay. I happen to find a HO resin kit guy made by
Frenchman River Model Works. It might be small, but don't let
that foul you, it has some good detail!!

Dennis Carr has
a good start on his
Martha E. Allen.
It's an old Canaller Tanker, some of the more unique boats of
the Great lakes. I really look
forward to see his progress of this model of Dennis's!!

Alan Hinchman
and his Cliffs
Victory. One of Alan finest projects I must say! At 1/100
scale, 6 feet makes for a very nice size model. Big enough to
get the detail yet easy enough to handle! Make sure to check out
the new gallery!!!

Cool little

The old Steam Tug
Q. A. Gillmore in
the harbor of Douglas/Saugatuck is simply one of my favorite
tug. Every time I visited there I just always wanted to get up
close to her. During a February visit I managed to do so.

What better way
to display a model Laker then while in her environment. The
Dossin Great Lakes Museum has on display a model of the
Detroit Edison
awaiting her cargo of ore. Very well put together model!!

Benzing of Munising has been building models for many years, but
