The first picture: HIAWATHA, a “light passenger launch” of
the Royal Canadian Yacht Club (Toronto) drew my attention
and with the aid of Ms. Nancy Kelly, Archivist there, I
proceeded to attempt something of a copy.
Using the ubiquitous “Lindberg Tug” hull, I free lanced, by
eyeball, the superstructure. It lacks only the Lifeboat.
Leaning heavily on the information on ‘’the building of the
Kilkenny’ and the many other articles throughout the web
site, I managed to produce the power train and fit it into
the hull. My thanks to the contributors!

Various failures led to frustration on the ways! How to
water proof the hull? Finally, unconnected thoughts came
together and I used ‘GOO’ to stick a rubberband - cut to
size - to the bulwark (?) and screwed the deck onto the hull
allowing access should my inexperienced electromechanical
skills fail!
The upper deck is a friction fitting over the cabin
-(windows should have been deeper) and held in place by a
single screw. As the receiver rides upon the battery case
amidships we might just avoid swamping the Yacht.

This being my first R/C kitbash/scratch built (?) attempt
