Thought I would share my basement project the 600' William A McGonagle, in S Scale.  Completed hull lamination two weeks ago and painted the hull last Sunday.  She floats this week in a local hotel swimming pool.  Has a live 2 cyl live steam engine presently runs on air, still working on boiler/feed water pump, about half complete lacking many details.

At this about 8 months now, and the boat is about 1/2 complete. She slid the slips into 384 scale feet of water last Friday at the local Super 8 pool. An S scaler the McGonagle is 9' 4 1/2" long. Plywood bulkheads, and skin with two layers of composite over the hull. The Duluth Maritime museum copied drawings from 1916 which I measured and created CAD files from. I emailed the files to Vermont for laser cutting. Her custruction is fairly authentic.

The McGonagle is live steam, engine works great, now working on feed pump, boiler and deck details. Some lakers saw the boat at a show last week and are helpful in providing information
