If it's one thing I like about Keith's
work, it's his choice of projects. There has to be but a few
models of this little beauty.
The St. Clair Lightship was in
service from 1902 - 1939.
It was
known originally as the "Grosse Pointe" (Light Vessel No.
75) until renamed the "St. Clair" station in 1911. It was
remodeled in the 1926 as one of the first "automated"
lightships (unmanned) the first so on the lakes. This is how
I depicted her. |
