This is my first attempt at model ship building. I began building this model back in 1994. I blew up 1/16” plans 2.5 times to get a scale that is roughly 1/63, making the hull 139” long (11.6”). The two piece hull is hand laid up Fiberglass. Every part on it is scratch built except for the anchors. I enjoy making details am trying to make it as accurate as possible to the ship at the time of her sinking. I still have a lot of detail to add including the bow thruster, and the hatch clamps, which are made but not installed.
