The ship is the Ernest T. Weir she was built in Lorain Ohio in
1953 and as a 6 year old I was really impressed as my dad took
me to her launching 54 years ago. The ship was later changed to
the Courtney Burton and now it is the American Fortitude. Its a
real shame she had to have her name changed as she was bought
and sold over the years. So I decided to honor her by building
her as the original ship that she started out as. The ERNEST. T.
WEIR.
