Flap Rudder

This is a flap rudder that I'm applying to my Lindberg Diesel Tug. It's a two part rudder with 180 degrees travel. The forward section rotates about 50 degrees side to side, this works like a normal rudder would. The aft section "Flap" rotates an additional 40 degrees operated by a stationary pin just aft the rudder shaft. This can be scaled up or down for any tug. The only thing to note here is the distance between hinge points and the stationary pin, keep this ratio as close as possible for proper operation.

Note these are basic dimensions and not specifically for the Lindberg Tug. I will have actual measurements for my tug along with photos when construction is complete.
