Drive System

It has been crunch time for me to get my Belle River operational by April, so I apologies for the lack of updates.

I managed to get the hull painted minus the spar deck and the drives installed. The drives consists of: Prop on a stainless steel shaft, brass tube with 3/16 sealed ball bearings, blabla belts and pulleys with a 500 Gruapner motor mounted on a custom stand.

Motors: 500

Here is the motor mount with the holes drilled. Note the prop shaft at the top with the ball bearing. This area gets bolted to the mount located in the hull. See next image. Note the motor mount holes have one side elongated. This allows the motor to move so you to can put tension on the belt.

This is the lower mount glues to the hull and prop shaft. It's very impotent that this mount is square to the shaft.

This is the completed mounts. The angles are there to fit flush with the hull.

The final drive system. Very smooth and quit.
