Three 1000 Footers will be launched spring 2004, one by Scott Thomlinson, Michael Ferguson and myself Jeff Churill. The idea was sparked by Scott after a November 9th 2002 Fun Run, he wanted a HO boat of his own so why not go all out with it. Scott is building the Paul R. Tregurtha at 1013 ft an Michael the Stewart J. Cort. I'm building the Belle River at 1000 ft. In 1/87 scale these boats will be just over 11.5 feet, with Scott's 1.8 inches longer. Here will be a complete collection of photos and instructions on how these boats are being built.

See the other Footers being built using this technique:

Scott Tomlinson    Paul R. Tregurtha

Michael Ferguson    Stewart J. Cort

Some shoots below of the early stages of construction. Notice my Fitzgerald for comparison, what a difference.

Launch date on  November 10,2000
